Haskell assured of 10-year accreditation

The results won’t be final until fall, but Haskell Indian Nations University officials say they’ve been assured the school’s accreditation will be extended 10 years.

“We met with the accreditation team this morning, and they said our next comprehensive visit will be in 2015,” Haskell spokeswoman Lori Tapahonso said Wednesday. “That’s extremely good news.”

The university is accredited through the North Central Association of Colleges and Schools.

Five association surveyors spent much on Monday and Tuesday and part of Wednesday evaluating Haskell’s curriculum, programs and services.
