Free State High senior swimmers Anthony Portela and Chris Sellon were named to the Kansas Swimming Coaches’ Assn. All-State first team.

Portela earned two individual state titles as the Firebirds placed third at the state meet last weekend at Kansas State’s Natatorium in Manhattan.

Andre Koop of Newton was tapped swimmer of the year, and Shawnee Mission East’s Wiley Wright was honored as Coach of the Year.
