To the editor:

What a waste of money: brand new uniforms for the football team because of an official color change from navy blue to royal blue? Not long ago the university band had to appeal to the public for funding to replace their decades-old uniforms. But a slight color change and a rush order is immediately put in for the football team uniforms.

How discouraging to read this article, especially with all of the recent cuts and budget woes of the public school system. Why don’t they take that money and apply it to research or something a little more meaningful on campus? This article makes crystal clear where the priorities are (or aren’t) in this university’s budget.
