Former Free State High basketball standout Keith Wooden is academically ineligible for the spring semester at Arizona State.

ASU coach Rob Evans said Wooden, a 6-foot-9 sophomore, failed to complete coursework in one class to maintain his eligibility.

Wooden remains eligible to practice, and Evans said he was expected to be eligible for the fall semester.

Wooden appeared in just eight games and averaged two points during the first semester. He played in 24 games and started nine as a freshman, averaging 3.3 points and 2.1 rebounds.
