Lawrence Police are investigating a report that a 34-year-old man inappropriately touched a 2-year-old girl during the weekend at a residence in north central Lawrence.

The man and the child are acquaintances, police said.

The alleged contact happened between 9:30 p.m. and 10 p.m. Saturday and was reported the next day by the child’s mother and grandmother.

Police have made contact with the suspect, but no arrests had been made as of Tuesday.
