Whew! Now that the worst is over, the staff, volunteers and board members of the Lawrence Humane Society want to offer our sincerest gratitude to the Lawrence community for pitching in to help. On Dec. 1, our shelter logged in 187 animals who were rescued from Miami County, and Lawrence responded. We can’t thank you enough for your overwhelming generosity in donating food, litter and money for such other essentials as medicines and cleaning supplies. We could never have done it without the help of such friends as you. We wish you all a warm and fuzzy New Year!
