A Lawrence social service agency is asking the public to help 10 families enjoy a merry Christmas this year.

The Pelathe Community Resource Center, 1423 Haskell Ave., needs people to adopt the families and provide gifts or gift cards for them, executive director Teresa Staskal said. The deadline for helping is Dec. 21.

Anyone interested should call Staskal at 841-7202 to find out what families need.
