To the editor:

In the “stay the course” letter that ran Dec. 3, the writer finished his letter, “We must stay the course; if we don’t, grave consequences will follow.” For many of us that do not support this war, our concern is the “grave” consequences of the over 2,000 American soldiers, the thousands of Iraqi citizens and others who have died since this war started.

For me, supporting the troops means bringing them home. I agree we, and the world, need to combat terrorism and I supported the removal of the Taliban. Iraq was different. I just don’t think we should “stay the course,” unless we are willing to continue to accept preparing the “graves” this war creates. I am not willing to accept these “grave” consequences. Support our troops: Bring them home.
