The Lawrence Regional Technology Center is ready to help connect willing investors with entrepreneurial endeavors throughout the region.
The center is a co-founder of Mid-America Angels, a new investing network for the Kansas City area.
The network is designed to introduce entrepreneurs within 150 miles of Kansas City to potential investors, using presentations and other methods. Network members are described as "high net worth" individual investors interested in financing rapidly growing private companies in early stages of development.
Running the network are leaders of two business incubators: Matthew McClorey, president and chief executive officer of the Lawrence Regional Technology Center; and Joel Wiggins, president and CEO of the Enterprise Center of Johnson County, the network's other co-founder.
For more information about the network, contact McClorey at 832-2110 or Wiggins at (913) 438-2282.
