Tibet travesty
To the editor:
Recently, the Douglas County commissioners have been asked to honor a sister city in China for promotion of business interests with China. I hope that many of you question selection of a sister city in a country that is now in its 54th year of a policy of genocide with regard to Tibet that has claimed the lives of more than 1.2 million souls. China currently is destroying the historic culture and long-standing heritage of an autonomous Tibet and permanently destroying its ecosystems with development of factories in Tibet manned by forced immigration from Southern China.
