Olathe ? The Free State High boys swimming team chalked up an 11th-place finish Saturday at the Olathe Invitational.

The Firebirds scored 16 team points, tying Olathe North in the 14-team field. Shawnee Mission East cruised to the team title with 321.50 points.

Free State saved its top performances for the relay events. The team of Brian Hatesohl, Cody Briggs, Danny Wolff and Spencer Flannigan finished ninth in the 400 freestyle relay with a time of 3 minutes, 45.49 seconds.

Two more Free State relay teams had 11th-place finishes.
