The Salvation Army Toy Shop will open beginning at 9 a.m. Monday at the Douglas County 4-H Fairgrounds in Building 21.
Volunteers will distribute toys that were donated to Toys for Tots, food vouchers and children's clothing during the event, which will operate from 9 a.m. to noon and 1 p.m. to 4 p.m. Monday through Thursday.
People who have completed an application for the Toy Shop should come during their assigned time, said Susan Dalberg, Lawrence Salvation Army co-administrator.
New children's clothing donations this year equaled only half of the amount collected and distributed last year, Dalberg said.
Anyone interested in donating new children's clothing may drop it off at the fairgrounds next week during distribution hours.
