The winter storm that produced about six to eight inches of snow in the Lawrence area has led to several cancellations of activities and events planned for today.

The snow led to numerous schools to cancel classes today (See the school-related cancellations.).

The following is a listing of other cancellations of events and activities around the community that will be updated throughout the day :

¢ Douglas County Child Development Assn., 935 Iowa, will be closed today.

¢ Jayhawk Audubon Society’s 7:30 p.m. meeting at the Douglas County Senior Center has been canceled.

¢ Douglas County Child Development Assn., 935 Iowa, will be closed today.

¢ St. John Evangelist Church, 1229 Vt., the Atrium sessions are canceled for this evening.
