Hearing postponed in Eudora drug bust case
A court hearing was postponed Wednesday for a Eudora man arrested in a drug bust last month in which police seized an AK-47, a sawed-off shotgun and a bulletproof vest.
Dustin E. Stoneking, 22, was scheduled to have his preliminary hearing in Douglas County District Court, but prosecutors said they needed more time because they were still waiting for the Kansas Bureau of Investigation to test the suspected drugs.
Judge Michael Malone rescheduled the hearing for Feb. 1.
Stoneking is charged with three felony counts of drug possession and possession of drug paraphernalia. Police said they seized items including prescription drugs, marijuana, methamphetamine, scales, cash and smoking pipes during the Nov. 3 raid.
