Junior high plans displayed at meeting

A handful of neighbors and parents turned out for a meeting last week about Southwest Junior High School’s $6.9 million bond project.

Architects from Gould Evans Associates presented the plans for building 16 new classrooms, a new practice gym and an expansion of the school’s cafeteria and corridors.

Construction on the school is expected to begin in January or February and should be complete in time for the 2007-2008 school year.
