Endowment Association names marketing VP

Rosita Elizalde-McCoy, of Overland Park, has been named senior vice president of communications and marketing at the Kansas University Endowment Association.

Elizalde-McCoy will direct public relations, marketing and special events for the Endowment Association.

Elizalde-McCoy served as executive director of public relations and marketing for Rockhurst University in Kansas City, Mo., for 15 years before coming to KU. Her experience also includes communications work at Johnson County Community College, the Dallas Independent School District, Mary Kay Cosmetics and Tandy Corp. She began her career as a copy editor at El Mundo in San Juan, Puerto Rico.

The Endowment Association is an independent, nonprofit organization serving as the official fundraising and fund-management foundation for KU.
