School having tour through human body

Hillcrest School students will look inside themselves today.

The school is hosting “Body Walk,” a 40-foot-long exhibit that takes students on a walking tour through the human body.

After leaving the brain, students will enter the larger-than-life mouth, proceed through the esophagus tunnel to the stomach dome, enter the small intestine tunnel and follow the path of nutrients through the blood vessel tunnel to the heart, lungs, bones, muscles and skin stations.

The educational exhibit was designed and created by the Kansas Department of Education, Child Nutrition & Wellness.
