To the editor:
In a follow-up comment to "Clear message" (Aug. 29), I believe unless someone has the facts, they should not badger somebody. In the article about John Whitehead, he did not sexually touch any child. He innocently played with them on playgrounds. And what he did in his own home is his business. He is an adult with a child's mind. He is not a monster. I have known John for many years and believe that what has been done to him is very unfair.

How is an adult that enjoys the pleasure of kids way too much and has the mind of one not a threat to the children. That is a monster and just because some of his activities are behind closed doors doesn't make his actions any more acceptable. He needs help, not to be pampered and told that he is just psychologically different than the rest of us.

I want to thank Ms. Allen for the support that John Whitehead deserves. A lot of this story is hidden from view, a lot of the truth has been hidden to protect the true guilty and a lot of vicious people have vented their hatred here. I am glad that there are even more who support him and who know that there are some even more evil demons and devils involved here and they know who they are.
