Lawrence textile artist Carla Tilghman will present a workshop titled "What 1,000 Looks Like" at the Carnegie Arts Center in Leavenworth.
The event, which will run from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. Sept. 17, will involve textile and fabric construction techniques to connect the number 1,000 in a visual way. students are encouraged to bring items from home, such as rubber bands.
