To the editor:
I noticed from an Associated Press report (Journal-World, Aug. 21) that President Bush took the world-famous cyclist, Lance Armstrong, on a two-hour, 17-mile bicycle tour of this ranch. He also presented him a T-shirt emblazoned with "Tour de Crawford."
By contrast, Bush could not find a few minutes of his vacation time to talk with Cindy Sheehan, whose 24-year-old son was killed in Iraq.
Actions speak louder than words, and this contrast between the time Bush had for the celebrated Armstrong as compared with Sheehan speaks volumes about Bush's sense of values and his sense of compassion.

Lawrence

Kevin Arminius,
I see you have yet to re-enlist in an effort to display that it is okay to die in Iraq. When you re-enlist I hope you keep us informed each time you are about to die for Iraq.
Where in the world did Harold Piehler claim that Bill Clinton was his hero? Did I miss something?
Obviously you would have liked to have spent time with Monica. Your obsession with Bill's love life is remarkable.
Sex lives are not important except to the more radical side of the republican party who also partake in such ventures.
Regarding 9/11... if Bush people were not involved obviously they were not paying attention or perhaps not interested. And GW issued a stand down order that day which still is puzzling to me. Can you explain why?
Meanwhile I am providing some interesting information regarding the Reagan/Bush years as they were selling arms to Iraq, sometimes Iran and Saudi Arabia. These activities did not make life easy for Bill Clinton.
Here are some remarkable topics relating to GHW Bush and
GW Bush which I believe to be far more relevant to some current events.

It appears if Arminius can not find it on retroactiveimpeachment he will blame Clinton. Well all Clinton did was get a BJ from an intern, Bush lied to the American people to take us to a war in Iraq which had no terrorist connection before the invasion while Afghanistan which did, remains unstable and unresolved. You tell me which did the greater wrong.

Why do you keep referencing Clinton? Let's deal with the matter at hand: the dry-drunk closet homosexual psychopath in the White House.
Somebody ought to tell Fred Phelps what's going on in there.

Wow, the Kaw Valley Small Business Monthly! What a truly reputable source. Great journalism there guy. Did you even take the time to see who the editor of this garbage is? It's a right winger named Kevin Groenhagen, who got his ass handed to him in a 1996 Kansas house campaign by a Democrat 7200-50. No wonder he's bitter.

Ooooh, Kev, I wonder what it's like to be so far over my head. I also wonder what would happen if the "lefty-liberal" crowd in this town really got serious about boycotting you and your treasonous advertisers.
