KU student injured by broken window
An 18-year-old Kansas University student suffered hand and arm injuries early Monday morning, apparently after putting his hand through a glass window outside Learned Hall, home to the School of Engineering.
A KU housekeeping employee found the student about 4:45 a.m. outside the building near the broken window. The student was disoriented, bleeding and “possibly intoxicated,” said Capt. Schuyler Bailey, a KU Public Safety Office spokesman.
The student was taken to Lawrence Memorial Hospital for treatment, Bailey said. Police said the student was considered a possible suspect of either attempted burglary or criminal damage to property.
“We don’t know what his intent was,” Bailey said.
