Lawrence Police shut down a portion of the 2600 block of W. Sixth Street early Sunday morning as officers investigated an accident at the entrance to the Tuckaway Apartment Complex.
A report on the wreck involving a Kawasaki motorcycle and Dodge Neon was not available Sunday, but police and Lawrence-Douglas County Fire & Medical crews were notified of the accident at 2:41 a.m., according to emergency dispatch records.
A Life Star helicopter was called to the scene and transported one unidentified patient, but it was not known to which hospital. Dispatch records also showed Sunday afternoon that officers were investigating whether alcohol was a factor.
