To the editor:
On Saturday, Aug. 13, there were two pictures I found disgusting in the Journal-World. The pictures at the bottom of page 5E show a "Girl Scout camp tradition." The young girls and camp aides are throwing food at each other.
With hungry people in our world and, in fact, in our own community, these Scouts are throwing rice, spaghetti, eggs and beans at each other.
May I suggest that there are more productive activities for the girls' time and for the food.
One of the Girl Scouts' supposed objectives is to develop future leaders. Wow!
And this was on the "Society Page."

Lawrence

Surely this letter is intended as a joke. Otherwise, aren't there more productive activities for the author to be engaged in doing?

Let the kids have some fun. Wow, people really are that uptight.

This woman is one of the volunteer originators of the wet shelter. Now you can tell the mind set and philosophy of those who started the homeless wet shelter mess at 10th and Kentucky.
