The Center for Community Outreach today will hold its Hawk Week Community Service Project for students at Kansas University.
Anyone wanting to volunteer for a variety of projects should show up at 10 a.m. at the Kansas Union's main entrance. They can choose to participate in upkeep and trash removal at the Baker Wetlands, do yard maintenance work at the Monterey House, work with animals at the Lawrence Humane Society or cook meals for in-need community members at Jubilee Cafe.
A free lunch will be served at 1:30 p.m. at South Park on the east side of Massachusetts Street.
