Broken Arrow School principal Larry Bakerink will retire at the end of this school year, the Lawrence school district announced Friday.
Bakerink is a 42-year veteran of the education field. He has been the school's principal for 24 years.
The district plans to advertise the opening, accept applications through October and name a new principal in February or March, said Mary Rodriguez, the district's human resources executive director.
