Motor grader fleet updated

Douglas County commissioners on Monday agreed to purchase a motor grader worth $209,575 from Martin Tractor.

The new grader will replace a 1988 model, which will be sold online.

The county’s Public Works Department replaces motor graders, which are used for road work, about every 10 years.

Commissioners also continued to discuss a set of newly proposed rural development and land use regulations.

The commission plans to have new planning rules and regulations applying to unincorporated portions of Douglas County by the end of the year.
