According to the bar graph of juvenile abortions in Kansas appearing on page 1A of the Aug. 9 Journal-World:

¢ 19 is more than 20,

¢ 11 is twice as much as 10,

¢ 10 is only slightly more than 5,

¢ 11 is more than 12 (both times),

¢ 6 is nearly twice 5, somewhat more than 10, and only slightly less than 12!

I see we have a new person credited with these graphics, who is carrying on the well-established tradition of misleading graphics in the Journal-World

On page 5C of the same newspaper one finds a full page ad touting the wonderful accomplishments of the Journal-World. It is disappointing so little attention is given to clarity in their graphics.
