Parks and Recreation to sponsor pool party
Area children will have a chance to attend a back-to-school party sponsored by the Lawrence Parks and Recreation Department.
Pool Party Mania: Back to School Bash will be from 5 p.m. to 8:45 p.m. Aug. 19 at the Lawrence Outdoor Aquatic Center, 727 Ky. The event is open to children ages 5 to 12 and will include a variety of summertime games, prizes and a pizza party. Pre-registration is required. There is a $10 per person fee to attend.
