A court hearing was postponed Tuesday in the case of two Lawrence liquor-store owners who are fighting the state's order to shut them down.
Dan and Jill Blomgren, owners of Lawrence's two Cork & Barrel stores, have filed suit in District Court asking a judge to overturn the Kansas Alcoholic Beverage Control's decision to revoke their licenses.
The hearing was rescheduled for Friday.
Earlier this year, ABC's director upheld a decision by an ABC hearing officer to revoke the Blomgrens' licenses. ABC officials alleged that Dan Blomgren made false statements on forms used to renew his liquor license in May 2002 and had an illegal, hidden interest in another Lawrence store in 2001 and 2002.
The Blomgrens are asking Judge Stephen Six to void the ABC's order.
