Gambling vote

To the editor:

Regarding the expansion of gambling in Kansas, opinions vary greatly. We already have three casinos in the state of Kansas, with two out of the three doing well.

While expanding gambling in our state may help our economy early on, additional casinos may not be in the best interests of Kansas over the long haul.

With that said, special interest groups should not have a say regarding this issue.

It should be up to the voters in Kansas to speak their minds in November at the ballot box.

Special Interest groups Should NEVER have a say so on any issue. They are just as their names imply: Special Interest!

Special Interest groups have controlled this country for a long time. It is the lobbyist that has more clout than the voter. We have sold our souls to those who have an agenda and some of those agendae are hidden and will come back to bite us.

    It has already.
