The U.S. Postal Service is celebrating the 50th anniversary of the Presidential Libraries Act of 1955. The dedication of the Presidential Libraries commemorative postage stamp will be at 10:30 a.m. Thursday at the Dwight D. Eisenhower Presidential Library and Museum in Abilene.
A limited number of collectible First-Day-of-Issue programs affixed with the stamp and bearing a specially designed postmark with President Eisenhower's signature will be given away on a first-come, first-serve basis.
A temporary Post Office inside the Eisenhower Library will be open from 9:30 a.m. to 2 p.m. and will offer the new stamps, and stamp-related souvenirs of 12 U.S. Presidents.
