To the editor:

Monday mornings are sometimes less than wonderful, especially when you have had a very busy weekend! But on a recent Monday, my whole day was turned around by a “random act of kindness”! Running late, I missed getting my four bags of yard waste to the curb on time. As I left for work I happened to meet the yard waste truck on an adjoining street.

When I rolled down my window to inquire if they had done my street, I was told yes, but do you have some? When I told him I had been late, he said they would drive up the block and a half and pick it up. I quickly returned home and was getting the bags from the back yard when they drove up. The two gentlemen from the back of the truck hopped down and came to my garage to carry them out to the truck!

I don’t know their names, but want to say thank you and tell them how much I appreciated their kindness — what a wonderful way to start a Monday morning!
