A great pope

To the editor:

I continue to hear people say Pope John Paul II was a great pope, a great man. However, some people then seem to misunderstand or deny his convictions and his teaching.

Pope John Paul II taught the truths of the Catholic church as revealed by Jesus Christ himself.
