To the editor:
I watched with pride, the Lawrence City Commission meeting of Tuesday, April 12. Mike Rundle has served Lawrence well and will continue to do so. I applaud his courage in announcing publicly that he is gay. To my surprise, when his voice broke with emotion, my eyes welled up. Thank you, thank you, thank you! Every day in this town becomes a little freer, and I am reminded how lucky I am to be living here.
