Proper response
To the editor:
Thank you to Matt Withers (Public Forum, April 13). He was right on. The marriage amendment result has brought out hateful, unsound and unvalued responses. In a democratic society, the majority usually determines the outcome of issues affecting the general populace of that society. Decisions are made that you don’t have to agree with but you need to accept in a admirable manner. As parents we teach our kids that it’s not winning or losing that builds character, but how you respond to those results.
