Lovely blooms
To the editor:
Lawrence has been a veritable fairyland the past few weeks! First, the forsythia with its lovely yellow bloom, followed closely by the wonderful billowy white of the Bradford pears, the beautiful pink magnolias, which are usually zapped by frost, and now the redbuds bursting into bloom all over town along with the flowering crabapple trees.
We are indeed fortunate to live in such a beautiful place as Lawrence in the spring.
Maybe we should call Lawrence the Bradford Pear City or the Redbud City or maybe just the Blooming City!
