Canvass brings no changes for Tuesday’s election outcomes in Douglas County

The results of Tuesday's City Commission and school board elections were officially confirmed Friday morning by the Douglas County Board of Canvassers.

The board -- Douglas County Commissioners Charles Jones and Bob Johnson, as well as former Commissioner Dean Neider -- went over the voting rolls and more than 270 provisional ballots.

Unofficial election results

They let 185 of the provisional ballots stand, but no election result was changed by the additional votes.

Douglas County Clerk Jamie Shew said he plans to provide the news media with final updated results later today.
