Hypocritical stand
To the editor:
In the recent Terri Schiavo case I could not help noticing that members of the conservative religious community were more than willing to embrace modern science and medical breakthroughs in support of their version of the Christian faith. And yet when Christians of a different political persuasion do the same (evolution, stem cell research) they are seen as working against the will of God.
Am I the only one to see the hypocrisy here? In my version of scripture, Jesus himself takes the hypocrites to task and never once mentions “natural philosophers.”
