Surprise ahead?
To the editor:
Not many years ago we learned about politicians using an “October Surprise.”
Let me be the first to speculate or predict:
1. Osama bin Laden captured or killed.
2. Weapons of mass destruction (WMD) discovered in Iraq.
3. A terrorist attack on Washington discovered and averted before it happened.
4. The economic reports for September (or previous quarter) are sharply up.
5) Troop numbers in Iraq cut in half.
What are your guesses for an October Surprise?
