LHS soccer falls

Olathe — Lawrence High’s boys soccer squad scored three goals Thursday, but it wasn’t enough in a 7-3 loss to Olathe North at the Olathe District Activities Center.

Daniel Miranda, Adam Renfro and Kyle Craig each scored for the Lions (1-4), and Pharouk Hussein and Miranda added assists.

“We need to play better defense,” LHS coach David Platt said.

“It was nice that the kids worked hard on offense and kept working all the way down till the last few minutes of the ballgame.”

LHS travels Saturday to Topeka West.
