Personal time
To the editor:
I feel that Spencer McCabe should not be punished by taking away his job (Journal-World, Aug. 31). He is a good firefighter and person.
He saved my nephew’s life several times. When he sees us on the street, he is always nice to us and my kids.
He should have to pay for his crime like everyone else. But I don’t think he should lose his job. As far as I’m concerned, the two things are different. He did that on his personal time not work time.
If people are embarrassed in Eudora about this, that’s wrong. A lot more goes on in Eudora by the police and everyone else.
He just wanted to have fun. Leave his job alone.
