Law enforcement report

Lawrence Police said Friday morning that in the past 24 hours they’d handled:

• 197 calls
• 24 reports
• three thefts
• four noninjury accidents

Burglaries and thefts reported

• A 42-year-old Lawrence man reported a $1,559 IBM laptop computer taken between 10:35 a.m. and 3 p.m. Wednesday from the 900 block of Centennial Drive.
• A 40-year-old Lawrence man reported a 1993 Toyota Tercel worth $1,000 and a 9 mm handgun worth $500 taken between 9 p.m. Monday and 8:30 a.m. Tuesday from the 1200 block of Randall Road.
• Someone took a U-Haul van valued at $2,265 from the 500 block of Kasold Drive between Aug. 9 and Tuesday, according to a report.

Lawrence-Douglas County Fire & Medical reported no fire calls Thursday.
