‘Spinmeisters’

To the editor:

While the vice presidential debate proved to be more entertaining than the presidential debate, facts were distorted more often.

While much was said about fighting wars on terror, not a mention was made regarding the importance of securing our nation’s borders. Lip service was hardly given to environmental issues and the outsourcing of jobs. The trade deficit received little attention either.

Often, while debating the economy and tax cuts, important facts were overlooked.

At the conclusion of this rather truculent contest, this writer was more wide awake than after the first debate.

After all, I had just witnessed a “classic,” i.e., two “spinmeisters” going toe to toe.
