KU order
To the editor:
In concurring with Greg Simpson’s letter “Is it KU or UK?,” Oct. 5, I would like to remind Bill Mayer of another ardent Kansas University athletics fan who used the correct phrasing. Public address announcer Jim Gillispie proudly greeted fans at the beginning of every home basketball game for 30 years with the words “Welcome to the University of Kansas and to Allen Fieldhouse, home of the Jayhawks.”
