If you've got a lot of Christmas shopping to do today, the weather will cooperate -- today's high temperature will be 57 under mostly cloudy skies.
"Let the shopping begin," said Jennifer Schack, 6News meteorologist. "For those of you who haven't gone out yet, the weather does look nice."
The temperature was starting out in the low 40s this morning, with wind chills in the high 30s, Schack said But a quick warm up is underway as the temperature climbs into the 50s before noon, well above the average high for this date of 49.
The clouds will thicken up tonight and present the chance for some rain ahead of a cold front coming through on Saturday, Schack said. The National Weather Service says there's a 40 percent chance of rain tonight. Then colder weather is on the way.
"We head from the 50s to the 40s tomorrow, then continue to drop off Sunday and Monday," Schack said.
Overnight, the low will drop to 34 by early Saturday morning. Saturday's skies will start out cloudy, then become mostly sunny, with the high reaching 45.
Sunday's morning low will be 27, with Sunday's high hitting 40 under partly cloudy skies.
