To the editor:
I was dismayed and disappointed at the cartoon you chose to run on the day the Clinton Presidential Library opened in Little Rock, Ark. Have we forgotten already all that President Clinton and his administration accomplished -- a booming economy, lower crime rates, respect around the world, a budget surplus -- and taken a cheap shot at what was a human failing?
This, in light of this week's news concerning the "moral" Republicans changing their rules so that a convicted felon could someday be their leader and the new head of the CIA obviously lying before Congress when he vowed to be nonpartisan if he were confirmed. How about taking a stand against real immorality and show some respect for a successful and admired past president on such an important day.
Marilyn Woodward,
Lawrence
