To the editor:
Hats off to Mark Mangino for having the courage to speak the truth about the BCS.
"You know what this is about, don't you?" Mangino asked reporters. "BCS. That's what made the difference today in the game. That's what made the difference in the call in front of their bench. Dollar signs."
How pathetic that he in turn has to pay humbled homage to the NCAA in public retraction and fine. The National Corrupt Athletic Association will stop at nothing to rake in the money. Perennial favorites of big revenue will always get the close calls and athletic infractions will always be suffered by lesser money generators with blind eyes turned to the cash cows of college sports, (i.e. University of Michigan basketball).
The NCAA has single-handedly erased the demarcation of right and wrong in what used to be a wholesome tradition. Even more pathetic are the talking heads and media personnel who pedestal the corruption. How absolutely pathetic!
