Time to work

To the editor:

When I was in the military, I served under five presidents. During that time I also voted. Not all the candidates I supported won in those elections.

With that said, I never turned my back on those the people put in office, never considered leaving the country or campaigned to the level of hatred I witnessed during this past election. I simply rolled up my sleeves and waited for the orders of the president of the United States and the officers appointed over me. I swore an oath to that.

I wonder if Michael Moore or his fans ever did something like that. I would ask every citizen, let’s get to work together. This is not blind loyalty to any one person. It is simply our responsibility to continue the work of those generations before us and try to improve upon it. To Democrats; get a grip and get to work. To those who want to leave the country: GO, but please, don’t come back, you’ll just set an example that being a coward in the face of adversity is the American thing to do.
