Lawrence Police said Thursday that in the past 24 hours they’d handled:
- 312 calls
- 27 reports
- two burglaries
- five thefts
- four noninjury accidents
Burglaries and thefts reported
- Someone cut a window screen at a home in the 300 block of Michigan Street and stole more than $3,000 in property from a 23-year-old resident, according to a report.
Items stolen included 30 Sony PlayStation 2 games, a Sony DVD player, 45 DVDs and car speakers. The theft happened between 7:50 a.m. and 4 p.m. Tuesday.
