City commissioners will discuss a rezoning request and preliminary development plan for Parnell Park Affordable Single-Family Homes at 1503 Haskell Ave.
The development would include 35 single-family homes on about 5.5 acres at the southwest corner of 15th Street and Haskell Avenue. Neighbors in the area had several questions about the development, including how developers would seek to have the homes occupied and ensure it wouldn't be converted into a rental community. The Lawrence-Douglas County Planning Commission voted to recommend approval of both the rezoning and preliminary development plan.
